A Dream, a Little Imagination and a Lot of Hard Work! ❤️

Atlantic Play Barn was designed and created by me, Kelly Hawke, and officially opened its doors at the end of 2024.

For many years, the building had been used for car boot sales, markets and various other events. But throughout that time, I always had a dream of transforming the space into something completely different.

I didn't want to create just another traditional soft play centre. I wanted something a little more unusual, somewhere children could explore, use their imaginations, discover new things and enjoy good old-fashioned play.

And so, Atlantic Play Barn was born!

What makes Atlantic Play Barn particularly special to me is that so much of it has come from my own ideas, designs and hard work.

I've spent countless hours planning, creating, building, painting and bringing my ideas to life. It's been a real hands-on project, with plenty of challenges along the way, but seeing everything come together has made it all worthwhile.

I've always loved the idea of taking an ordinary space and transforming it into something exciting, colourful and full of character, without simply copying what everyone else is doing.

My aim has always been to create somewhere a little different, where children can be adventurous, get creative, have fun and make wonderful memories, while parents and grandparents can relax and enjoy spending time together.

One thing about me is that I'm never short of ideas!

Atlantic Play Barn is constantly evolving, and I'm always thinking about what I can design, build or introduce next.

I don't believe a play area should stand still. I want families to be able to return and discover something new, whether that's a different activity, an exciting addition or another one of my slightly unusual ideas!

Located next door to the Cornish Birds of Prey Centre at Winnards Perch, St Columb, Atlantic Play Barn is an independent little world of fun, imagination and adventure.

For me, this has never been about simply opening a play centre. It's about taking a dream I've had for years and turning it into somewhere that families can enjoy together.

I'm incredibly proud of what I've created, and even more excited about what is still to come.

Thank you to everyone who has visited, supported us and helped make my dream a reality.

And remember, Atlantic Play Barn is still growing… so watch this space! ❤️
